At The 7th Phu My Hung Green Day, held from August 24-25, 2024, at The Crescent Strip, Phu My Hung, children participated in many games and activities aimed at fostering a love for nature and the environment.
The most interesting activity was learning to plant and care for trees. The children were guided by volunteers from the “One Million Seeds” program on how to classify seeds, plant, and care for young plants. Many children were excited to learn for the first time about the seeds of mustard greens, cucumbers, okra, and Malabar spinach. They also learned how to water and sun the plants to help them sprout and how to care for them to ensure healthy growth.
“This activity is truly beneficial, helping the children develop a love and connection with nature and the environment, while also equipping them with a valuable life skill,” said Ms. Lan Khue from District 7.
In addition to learning how to plant seeds, in another area, the children were given free young plants. These green sprouts were grown and cared for by kindergarten students from Happy World School, who brought them to Green Day to give to everyone.
